Instant Pot Paneer Capsicum masala or Paneer Bell pepper curry is a easy side dish made with Paneer and Bell pepper(also known as Capsicum). Loaded with simple spices making it flavorful but yet mildly hot (of course you can make it more spicy to your tasty).

This dish will be great with Rice, Jeera Rice, Roti and Naan. You should definitely try this Instant pot Paneer capsicum masala if you are bored with Palak Paneer or other paneer curries.

Instant Pot Paneer Capsicum Masala is a super easy, flavorful and delicious making it a best choice for weekend dinner/lunch and also great for Potluck parties.


Instant pot Paneer capsicum masala

  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp Garam masala
  • 1 tsp Coriander powder
  • Red chili powder - to taste
  • Salt - to taste

Other Ingredients

  • 8 oz Paneer - Cubed
  • 1 medium sized Bell Pepper (capsicum) - Cubed
  • 1 to 2 tbsps Oil
  • 1 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 1 small Onion - chopped
  • 1 tbsp Ginger Garlic paste -
  • 1/2 cup water - or as needed
  • 2 small Tomatoes - chopped
  • Cilantro - to garnish


  • Put instant pot on saute mode high, add oil and let it get hot. 
  • Add cumin seeds and fry for 30 secs to a minute
  • Add onions and fry well for 2 mins.
  • Now add ginger garlic paste and fry for another 2 mins
  • Now add tomatoes and fry for a minute or two.
  • Now add all the spices mentioned above and mix well. Turn off saute mode
  • Add water, paneer and bell pepper. Mix well 
  • Put the lid and vent to sealing position. Do manual high 2 mins
  • Do Quick release after 2 mins in warm mode. 
  • Garnish with Cilantro if desired.
