Roasted potatoes – Air fryer
Roasted potatoes is a easy recipe in air fryer. They can be a snack, appetizer or a meal on its own. Carb loaded potatoes roasted to perfection and seasoned with spices is a yummy treat at anytime of the day.
If using baby potatoes I like to leave the skin on as the skin gives lot of flavor and fiber, which in turn reduces the glycemic index of the dish. You can roast the potatoes in oven or air fryer. I recently got an Nuwave 6qt airfryer and I love it. It makes my life easy and trust the fried food comes out super crispy with less or no oil.
I got the mixed color baby potatoes for this roasted potatoes. I chose to boil the potatoes first so that it will take less time to fry in the air fryer. You don’t necessarily have to boil them before roasting but I highly recommend it.
Make sure you scrub your potatoes very well to get rid of dirt and debris if you intend to leave the skin on. You can use big potatoes as well but cut them into chunks.
So preheat the Airfryer, Nuwave airfryer has a preheat button, so its so easy .. just press the preheat button and push start. (preheat is optional, but I tend to use it).
Once preheat cycle is finished, put in the boiled potatoes in the fryer and fry them for 6 to 8 mins at 400F. Shake the fryer once in between to ensure even cooking. Coat the potatoes with oil if desired, I used a cooking spray to make things easy.
Once potatoes are roasted, season with salt, pepper and any other seasonings of your choice. I kept it simple and went with salt, white pepper.!
Serve them hot as a side dish or as an appetizer 🙂 Eitherway they are delicious.
